WooCommerce: in development

Live virtual try-on for WooCommerce: coming soon

WooCommerce stores selling clothing and accessories will be able to add a Try it on button to their product pages. A small WordPress plugin is in development; today, WeTryOn runs on Shopify only.

Can you use it on WooCommerce today?

Not yet. WeTryOn runs on Shopify today. A drop-in script for WooCommerce is in development, with no date set. Join the list and we'll email you when it's ready.

How it will work on WooCommerce

1. Install a plugin

The plan is a WordPress plugin, installed from your dashboard like any other, with no theme files to edit.

2. The button joins your product page

It is planned to sit beside Add to cart on the single product page, in classic and block themes alike.

3. Shoppers try on from your product photo

The try-on is generated from the product's own image in your WooCommerce media library. No 3D files and no new photoshoot.

What to know about WooCommerce

Variable products

Many WooCommerce clothing stores sell one product in several colours as variations, each with its own image. The plan is for the try-on to use the image of the variation the shopper has selected, so trying the navy one shows navy.

Caching and page speed

WooCommerce sites usually run a page cache. The button is planned to be the same for every visitor, so cached pages stay cached, and the try-on code would load only after a shopper taps.

What to have ready

Clear product images, ideally the item alone on a plain background, and product categories that say what each item is. The camera notice shoppers agree to before the camera starts is the same one Shopify stores use.

Virtual try-on on WooCommerce: questions

When will WeTryOn be available on WooCommerce?

We haven't set a date. We'd rather tell you when it works than promise a date we might miss. Join the list and we'll email you once.

Will the WooCommerce version handle variable products?

That is the plan: the try-on would use the image of the variation the shopper has chosen. It is in development, so this may change before release.

Will it need changes to my WordPress theme?

It shouldn't. The WooCommerce version is planned as a plugin that places the button for you, with no theme files to edit.

Can I try WeTryOn before the WooCommerce version is ready?

Only on Shopify. If you also run a Shopify store, WeTryOn is available there today with a free trial.
