Magento: in development

Live virtual try-on for Magento: coming soon

Magento Open Source and Adobe Commerce storefronts will be able to add live AI try-on to their product pages through a small module. It is in development; today, WeTryOn runs on Shopify only.

Can you use it on Magento today?

Not yet. WeTryOn runs on Shopify today. A drop-in script for Magento is in development, with no date set. Join the list and we'll email you when it's ready.

How it will work on Magento

1. Install a module

The plan is a standard module installed with Composer, so it fits the deployment process your developers already use.

2. The button is added to the product view

Through Magento's layout system, on the product page, without overriding your theme's templates.

3. Try-ons come from your catalogue images

The try-on is generated from the product's base image, so no 3D assets need to be produced for your catalogue.

What to know about Magento

Configurable products

Magento stores often sell one configurable product with child products for each colour. The plan is for the try-on to follow the shopper's chosen option and use that child's image where it has one.

Full-page cache and Varnish

Product pages on Magento are usually served from the full-page cache. The button is planned to render identically for every visitor, so it doesn't break caching, and the try-on itself loads only after a shopper taps.

Themes and headless storefronts

The plan covers standard themes such as Luma and themes built on it. Headless storefronts would use the drop-in script directly on their product pages instead of the module.

Virtual try-on on Magento: questions

When will WeTryOn be available on Magento?

We haven't set a date. We'd rather tell you when it works than promise a date we might miss. Join the list and we'll email you once.

Will it support Adobe Commerce as well as Magento Open Source?

Both are planned, since they share the same product page structure. Neither is available yet.

Will the Magento module work with full-page cache?

That is a design goal: the button would be identical for every visitor, so cached product pages stay cached.

Can my developers integrate it themselves?

When it is ready, yes: a Composer module, plus a drop-in script for headless builds. Join the list and we'll send the details when there are some.
